The most significant factors in bringing an end to the populist party were as follows. First of all was the party's monetary policy. They believed in bimetallism which a majority of the industrial middle west were afraid of inflation,which would end up making the value of money decrease. (pgs 428 & 429)
Another factor was the source of the popular support. The party's support was farmers and people who wanted inflation, which was less than the amount of people opposing the populist party. Their policy was popular participation, which was appealing to the farmers and not as much to the nation as a whole. (pg.429)
One last thing that helped bring an end to the populist party was the fact that they were a third party. Inorder to keep thier identity as a party they nominated thier own vice presedent for the election. Since they did this they became less strong and popular as a party.

MAX is a Linux distribution based on Knoppix sponsored by the department of education of the autonomous community of Madrid. MAX stands for MAdrid LinuX. Since 2003 MAX has been installed on all the computers of the schools in the autonomous community of Madrid. MAX supports both KDE and GNOME along with all the most common programs used under Linux such as Konqueror, Mozilla Thunderbird, OpenOffice.org, Mozilla Firefox and Audacity. No Life Records was an American record label founded by Chuck Arnold in Boston, MA in 1992. The label released records by bands such as The Jesus Lizard, Bunnygrunt, Beatnik Filmstars, Pest 5000 and Nerdy Girl, before folding in 1997.
No Life Records was also the name of Arnold's record store, in Los Angeles, CA which Arnold co-owned with Dave Sanford, now owner of the Spectre Entertainment Group. The store opened on April 2, 1995, with three bands playing in-store. The store was somewhat legendary for these in-store performances, with around 15 bands per month playing in the store, among them such indie rock luminaries as Sleater-Kinney, Elliott Smith (both playing their first L.A. shows), Fuck, Momus and the Dandy Warhols. This was not to last, however, as the store closed on April 27, 1998. Eric Speckhard is a person with no known life and is obsessed with the Lord of the Rings series. He also knows all the presidents of the United States in order. He basically is a complete loser.
